The High Brown Fritillary (Argynnis adippe) is a large powerful butterfly which is often seen when the sun shines flying low over vegetation. 

The High Brown Fritillary is one Britain's 8 Rarest Insects Collection. This species has undergone massive declines since the 1950's and is now classed as critically endangered.
